END POINT ASSESSEMENT:
The Warehouse Operative Level 2 apprenticeship contains an end-point assessmen by an independent organisation to ensure that all apprentices follow the same standard and are assessed consistently.The apprenticeship is delivered at the employer's location and aims to give the warehouse operative the skills and knowledge to ensure that freight is moved safely, securely and cost-effectively. The apprentice will be assigned a dedicated experienced assessor, to ensure your apprentice is supported fully throughout their programme. The assessors concentrate their efforts into making every apprentice into the very best warehouse operative that he/she can be, ensuring that they become an asset to your company with safety at the forefront of everything that they do.
 
ABOUT THE WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE LEVEL 2 APPRENTICESHIP
This apprenticeship is for individuals seeking to start or further their career in the movement and storage of goods, and is an essential part of logistics operations.
 
WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE LEVEL 2 APPRENTICESHIP
  • Warehouse practices and processes - including deliveries, dispatch, maintaining records, moving stock, packing and storing goods
  • Using warehouse equipment, machinery and vehicles - including mechanical racking systems and materials handling equipment (MHE) forklifts and pallet trucks
  • Using basic IT - including barcoding, data capture, radio and warehousing management software and systems
  • Protect the vehicle and associated loads
  • Planning and preparing processes
  • Basic IT applications and other relevant technology and systems and how these are reported by use of Key Performance
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues, customers, third party carriers and other organisations
  • Health and safety practices, procedures and regulations within the warehouse environment - including safe driving and operating techniques and working safely at heights
  • Improve your spatial awareness, so that you can quickly and efficiently load objects of different shapes and sizes
  • Learn about keeping some goods at low temperatures
  • Manage stock
  • Audit inventory
  • Keep equipment in good working order
  • Process returned goods
  • Manage the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods
  • Maintain the safety of hazardous goods and materials
